Chufa de Valencia Tiger Nuts

We are very excited to be able to offer you a very, very special tiger nut! These delicious, creamy little tubers are only grown in Spain and are exclusive to us in the UK!

Chufa de Valencia is an artisan product regulated by the Chufa de Valencia Regulatory Council since 1995. They ensure that strict quality guidelines are maintained when growing, harvesting and drying these delicious tiger nuts.We source these direct from farms in Valencia to ensure authenticity and freshness. Organic and fair trade, each cute little bag has its own unique number proving is authenticity! These are a real artisan tiger nut which you can tell apart from the African tiger nuts as these are smaller, creamier and have a lighter colour and longer shape. These are a real artisan product which we are delighted to have found, and they are exclusive to us at The Tiger Nut Company here in the UK.

You can eat these as they are or add them to smoothies, cereal, salad and yogurt. Chufa de Valencia tiger nuts are ideal for making authentic Horchata de Chufa, or tiger nut milk, a healthy, nutritious and delicious milk similar to almond milk but which we think is much tastier!

When storing your tiger nut milk you will notice a thick residue or sediment. Don’t panic! This is normal and its full of good stuff for your gut. Simply stir or shake the container so it mixes back in before drinking. Tiger nut milk will keep for 2- 3 days in a fridge, if you haven’t drunk it all before then!
